creative rationale
Basically i had to do a blog for school. We had to put anything that inspires us. So im doing fashion and dance something I see almost everyday from my way to school and back and in my social life. I chose the name of the blog to conflicted by dance and fashion because I wasn't really sure which one I should really focus on more.
fashion inspires me in such way that in what you can wear you can make a bold statement by saying this is me. Yes people can question it at times but so what. It puts you aside from everyone else. thats why theres different trends from everyone. you can have your hipsters, bohemian, there is also street and a classic look. I preferably like mix and match all styles. like kylie jenner that girl knows how to rock all styles.
What I love about fashion is how its timeless. I mean The universe energy doesn't lie There's no better thing like fashion to express yourself and trying to be different than fashion. You gotta stay ready for whatever might come up. I LOVE DANCE because of how the body moves

NYANE AND MPHO
NYane and Mpho
are 19 year-old twins living in Southampton, England. To say that im
obsessed is an understatement. Mpho is a university student studying
fashion buying and design, and NYane is a designer and model. They cite
fashion’s original twin-set, Mary-Kate and Ashley, as their main
inspiration. “Their style shows a slight differentiation, but they still
complement each other,” NYane says of the Olsens. “Each of our personal
styles reflect our personalities and lifestyles. Mpho dresses more
relaxed, with a mash-up of oversized pieces, wide-brim fedoras and
masses of jewelry.
She’s more of a gig and festival go-fer.” NYane wears more bold and
sculptured, statement pieces. She’s more of a risk-taker with a loud
personality, and frequently changes her look to suit her mood,” The twins hope to have their own line of
clothing someday, and i hope they do too!
my views on contemporary dance and ballet
Contemporary dance is a dance form that incorporates both classical dance as well as modern dance. Contemporary dance has a wide variety
of movement that doesn't adhere to the basic lines and positions of
classical ballet. Contemporary ballet offers floor work, partnering, and
it is done in a turned in position as opposed to classical ballet which
is done in a turned out position. contemporary dance works well with modern dance and jazz it is also one way used to express emotions through dance. Since the emergence of contemporary dance in the early 20th Century, people
have argued about and discussed the differences and similarities between
ballet and contemporary dance. When Contemporary dance began to seep into the
dance world, it was thought of as the opposite of ballet. The
forerunners of Contemporary dance were insistent upon their new dance form
expressing freedom from ballet. Since the start Contemporary dance choreographers, creators, and dancers prided themselves in
the innovation of their art form and in its opposition to ballet.
oh well said. but my opinion on this is that both dances show and express same thing it just depends on what the dance is about the only difference is that one you have shoes that kinda protects your feet and the other your you point and flex with your bare feet. and all ballet you wear costumes and contemporary dance well its tights. that's just my opinion on things they all beautiful to watch in the end. if you care do feel free to school me. The Lady in the Alley
picture is of me #Nicolettendlovu |
Hand to hip
Relaying each moment that created her sour puss attitude
"I am fashion"
She scolded herself into place
That place of self loathing
That torcherous loathing she subsided to like a starving bulimic
"I am fashion"
She kept saying it
Walking that walk of divination
Searching for something
Her formal normality?
"I am fashion"
She was truly an honor walking
Hints of royalty in her rouge cheeks
But a twist in detail occurs slightly
Fact is she wasn't fashion
She was a disaster
Actually walking up and down an alley near 6th and Broadway
But this was her thing
Her nitch
Her absolute desire
"I am fashion"
She never stopped saying it
The stones beneath her feet and cracked bricks of the alley knew she was
To her they always kept whispering
"You are fashion"
-Robbie Watson
Lately I’ve been
feeling like there’s so much noise, you know? So much static. All these
voices competing for attention. Teachers, parents, magazines. What’s in,
what’s out, who’s cool, who’s not cool enough. And it’s like all this
shit gets so loud I feel like I can’t even hear myself think. I just
want to get in my car and drive.”

Life is like a dance
There are many steps
and as you learn
time and time again you will fumble and fall
You will spin and you will twirl
Your feet simply painting a unique mural
At times you will fly through the air
As your partner carries you
dancing with the stars
or you will dip down low
without your best friend to help you through your live show
You put one foot in front of the other
Living to your own rhythm
And by the end you will look back and see
the story you have painted with the tips of your toes
Smiling a radiant smile
you bow to the crowd for you like what you see
And realize
You are destined to fall
it's whether or not you pick yourself up again
that determines your destiny
